When will my course registration be valid?

Your registration is valid as soon as the course has been paid.

The payment link you receive upon registration is active for 2 days.

If you haven't paid for the course yet or made a payment plan with the office, your registration will be cancelled and you lose your spot on the course.

By registering for a course you accept that

  1. the course can be changed from contact teaching to remote teaching. If remote teaching is not possible, the course will be reprogrammed to another occasion or terminated. If the course is terminated, the Institute will not refund the paid course fees, but instead, the student can use the paid course fee for another course.
  2. we will send you information related to your course by text message and/or email.
  3. we will mail you a course brochure for the next 2 semesters.
  4. your personal information will be registered on the Hellewi course administration database. For more information, see Privacy Notice.
  5. reading the cancellation policy is required.

Email permission

If you grant us permission to send you emails, you will receive a newsletter 4 times a year concerning registration and other important information. You can unsubscribe from the mailing list anytime.


Payment on registration

Bank payment

You can make safe payments on the Netbank, with payment cards or MobilePay. We use payment service by Paytrail.

The payment link you receive upon registration is active for 2 days.

You can also pay by card at the office.

Sports and Culture Benefits

First, register for a course and pay for it (either in full or a part of it) at the benefit supplier’s website or application. Send our office a screenshot or receipt of the payment.

If there is a difference in price, we will send you a payment link by email.

You can pay with the following benefits: Eazybreak, Edenred, ePassi ja Smartum

Sports and Culture Benefits are accepted for all courses except for language and wine courses or Open University studies.

Pay in parts or later

You can always ask to pay your course fee in parts or later.

First register for the course and then contact our office to make a payment plan.

Billing a company

If your employer pays for the course

First register and then ask for an invoice from our office. Additional 5€ is added as an billing surcharge.


How do I cancel my course registration?

You can cancel a course registration by e-mail toimisto@helao.fi.

Note that it is possible to change a level, if your course is too difficult or easy for you. The office must always be informed of such changes.

Can I get a refund?

If you cancel your course registration not later than 7 days before the course is due to start,

  1. the course fee paid on netbank, payment card or MobilePay will be refunded in full.
  2. the balance of the course fee paid by Eazybreak, Edenred, ePassi or Smartum can in most cases be returned into your account if the cancellation occurs within the year the course fee has been paid.
  3. the balance of the course fee can be used for another course of your choosing.

When will the course fees not be refunded?

The paid course fees will not be refunded if you

  1. cancel a course less than 7 days before the course is due to start
  2. have registered for a course and do not show up
  3. discontinue the course

What if the Institute has to cancel a course?

The Institute may have to cancel a course if the minimum of participants has not been reached.  A course will be cancelled two working days at the latest before the course is due to start.

We will notify you of the cancellation by text message and/or email.

Can I get a refund?

the course fee paid on netbank, payment card or MobilePay will be refunded in full.

  1. the balance of the course fee paid by Eazybreak, Edenred, ePassi or Smartum can in most cases be returned into your account if the cancellation occurs within the year the course fee has been paid.
  2. the balance of the course fee can be used for another course of your choosing.

What if the Institute has to discontinue contact teaching?

Institute may be forced to discontinue contact teaching due to a force majeur.

We will notify you by text message and/or email.

If the Institute has to discontinue contact teaching, the course will continue as remote teaching. If remote teaching is not possible, the course will be reprogrammed to another occasion or terminated.

Can I get a refund?

If the course is terminated, the Institute will not refund the paid course fees, but instead, the student can use the paid course fee for another course.
