This course will be suitable for 2 different target groups of students. For those not requiring a certificate, the class takes the form of engaging questions and conversation on a variety of topics, discussing favourite pastimes, key moments in their life etc.. As well as team games designed to simulate conversation for an entertaining and enjoyable evening. For the target group requiring a certificate, the course employs a competency-based approach, engaging the participant in dialogue and providing an opportunity to practice existing skills and new skills, as he/she progresses. This course satisfies the CEFR requirements  B2-C1 in both Spoken Interaction and Spoken production. A variety of questioning and communication strategies will be employed to assist the learner in gaining confidence and communicating effectively. By the end of the course, the learner will be able to interact spontaneously with native speakers, sustaining viewpoints effectively, both socially and professionally. In addition, the learner will be able to discuss advantages and disadvantages of complex subjects and summarise with appropriate conclusions. Should evaluation be necessary the student will be constantly assessed during the course and receive a final grade of Pass/Fail, based on her/his participation during the entirety of the program.
